This event will be at the Olathe Infrastructure (formerly Public Works) Department Robinson Administration building on September 22 over the lunch hour. (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) It will provide a general overview of emergency management for public works with an emphasis on how the KC Chapter’s Homeland Security / Emergency Management Committee should fit into the metro emergency management framework and the benefits that come from participating in this structure. This will be presented via a roundtable of various local emergency management professionals discussing the importance of public works in various response scenarios.
